Jordi Trullàs

The intense presence of oud de Laos, found in the notes of Noir de Mars, was a challenge for Trullás as the unusual and original scent could not be associated with any colour in particular. The woody, leather and animal notes accompanying the oud have such an exclusive and unique personality that his final choice was black. For Trullás, the poly-sensual experience of this perfume together with his brushes evoked oriental music of a primitive and rhythmic character. This was set within a universe dominated by black. The painter, abandoning figurative forms, has seen a bi-dimensional time in which only form and texture create a permanent and obsessive rhythm. Trullás’ pictorial idea was perfectly suited to a creation in engraving and without the use of traditional methods
